The launch of ANC Masikhulume Elections Manifesto Forums

26 September 2013

The ANC Limpopo will convene the Masikhulume Elections Manifesto Forums across the province starting on Sunday, 29 September 2013, at Thabazimbi Municipality, under the theme “My ANC, My Vision, Our Future”.

The Forums will present a platform to address many social and economic challenges faced by our province. It’s a build up to our vision over the next five years. We aim to mobilize all our people and all our resources to push forward efforts against unemployment, poverty, inequality and marginalization of the rural poor the major challenges facing our province.

We will use the Forums to consult with our people from all walks of life, youth, women, the working class, and people living with disability, the Alliance and all progressive formations and sectors, to make suggestions on what should be contained in the 2014 Manifesto. Participants will high-light achievements of the last 20 years, identify real problems we face and what we need to do to overcome them. It is a moment where every citizen would ask, if their lives have really improved; how far we have gone in building national unity across race and gender. Have we done enough to meeting the basic needs of our people; jobs, social protection, housing, water, education, health and other needs? Have we reduced the rural divide between the well-developed white commercial farming areas and the impoverished rural areas. Have we done much to declare war on crime and corruption?

The NEC deployees will be dispatched to the province to listen to our people when they speak on the achievements and challenges of the ANC led government, in terms of service delivery. The Forums are scheduled as follows:
