This weekend the ANC in the province will be hosting several political activities across the length and breadth of its regions kicking off with Regional General Council (PGC) meetings taking place in each of Limpopo`s five regions.

The provincial Veterans League will be holding its own Provincial General Council (PGC) on Saturday, 02 June 2012.

Next Friday the provincial ANC will be holding its Provincial General Council in preparation for the ANC`s National Policy Conference later on this month.

"Though we have been actively pursuing a progressive political programme and are happy that all regions and sub-regions are managing their organisation affairs very well; we wish to specifically congratulate the general membership of our branches for the exemplary manner in which they conducted themselves - who also elected Regional Executive Councils (RECs) to lead them. Specifically, Vhembe, Mopani and Peter Mokaba regions, who have now all held successfully and smoothly organised regional conferences in their respective areas." Says Provincial Secretary of ANC Limpopo, Cde. Soviet Lekganyane.

In July 2012, the ANC in Limpopo celebrates President Rolihlahla Nelson Mandela with a series of activities planned for the entire month.

Amongst the commemorative activities will be:

Ten year anniversary of the Late Peter Mokaba

Unveiling if the monument of Victor Richard Selope Thema who became Secretary General of the African National Congress in 1917

Comrade Soviet Lekganyane concluded: "Naturally we are thrilled about our hosting of the life of a living legend such as President Nelson Mandela. More than anything we wish to strengthen our efforts in ensuring quality services for all our people in honour of all the great heroes of our struggle and to bring better meaning to the Centennial achievement of the ANC and the people of South Africa as a whole so that we can secure a better quality future for all."
